Aside from some wonderful people on the dock (including visiting curious children) we also have some wonderful creatures.  From any one of the three decks in the house you will from time to time, see great blue herons as they fish at sunset; occasional swans; harbor seals; mink - and lots and lots of otters.  A recent survey by the University of Victoria identified some 38 otters in our marina.
